Bangor: Candidate Meet and Greet

The League of Women Voters of the Bangor Area is holding a Candidate Meet and Greet on Tuesday, October 22 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Bangor Masonic Center, 294 Union Street in the Wellman Commons of the former Bangor Theological Seminary.  All candidates running to represent Bangor in the State Legislature and those running for a Penobscot County offices whose names will be on the November ballot have been invited to participate.  This is an in-person event with candidates and the public present.

Each candidate will be given a table for campaign literature to allow for interaction with individual members of the public. Each candidate also will be given equal time to address the gathering.  There will be time for a few questions from the public that all candidates will be given a minute to answer.

This event is a non-partisan event designed to allow Bangor residents to learn more about the candidates in this election.  The League of Women Voters of Maine will provide its Easy to Read Voters Guide and information about the mechanics of voting in this year’s election.
