Maine’s Reform Jewish congregations, as part of the national Religious Action Center’s Freedom To Vote Campaign, has set up Zoom meetings with Maine Senators Collins and Angus King to urge them to support the For The Peoples Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. This link provides more details on the Freedom to Vote Campaign and its key ideas.
These meetings are being organized by the Union for Reform Judaism, but all who share the need to act on behalf of securing voting rights are welcome. They have invited members of the League of Women’s Voters of Maine to attend. LWV appreciates this opportunity to attend these virtual meetings.
